Privacy policy

Effective May 9, 2025

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and name, via Google sign-in.
  • Configuration data: the source URLs, topics, and settings you add to your shows and newsletters.
  • Content data: articles and metadata fetched from your configured sources, used solely to generate your content.
  • Billing data: payment information is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
  • Usage data: basic server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for security and debugging.

How we use it

  • To generate your podcasts and newsletters.
  • To send your newsletters to your configured delivery address.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors:

  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google Cloud — AI generation (Gemini) and text-to-speech.
  • Brevo — newsletter email delivery.
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.

Each sub-processor has their own privacy policy and data processing terms.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a show, newsletter, or your account, associated data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@wafflecast.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use session cookies solely to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the app.
